Windows Issues
Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)Windows
Update drivers via Device Manager, run sfc /scannow in admin Command Prompt, check for Windows Updates, and review Event Viewer for error codes.
Slow Startup and Boot TimesWindows
Open Task Manager > Startup tab and disable unnecessary programs. Run Disk Cleanup, check for malware, and consider switching to an SSD.
WiFi Keeps DisconnectingWindows
Update wireless adapter drivers, run Network Troubleshooter (Settings > Network > Troubleshoot), reset network settings, or change power management to prevent adapter sleep.
Printer Not RespondingWindows
Restart the Print Spooler service (services.msc), remove and re-add the printer, update drivers from manufacturer's website, or run the Printer Troubleshooter.
Windows Update Stuck or FailingWindows
Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter, clear the SoftwareDistribution folder (stop Windows Update service, delete contents, restart), or use the DISM tool: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth.
File Explorer Not RespondingWindows
Restart Explorer via Task Manager, clear File Explorer history (Folder Options > General > Clear), or run sfc /scannow to repair system files.
"No Internet Access" Despite Being ConnectedWindows
Flush DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns), reset Winsock (netsh winsock reset), check proxy settings, or manually set DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4.
Outlook Not Syncing EmailsWindows
Check account settings, repair the Outlook profile (Control Panel > Mail > Repair), clear the Outlook cache, or recreate the OST file.
OneDrive Sync ConflictsWindows
Look for "conflicted" copies in the sync folder, pause and resume sync, reset OneDrive (onedrive.exe /reset), or check available storage.
Application Crashes or Won't OpenWindows
Run the app as Administrator, check for updates, repair/reinstall via Settings > Apps, clear app cache, or check Windows Event Viewer for crash details.
macOS Issues
Mac Running Slow / Spinning WheelmacOS
Open Activity Monitor to identify CPU-heavy processes, close unused apps, clear caches (~/Library/Caches), restart, and ensure at least 15% free disk space.
Application Force Quit NeededmacOS
Press Cmd+Option+Escape to open Force Quit menu, or right-click the app icon in the Dock and select Force Quit. If persistent, delete app preferences from ~/Library/Preferences.
WiFi Connected But No InternetmacOS
Renew DHCP lease (System Settings > Network > WiFi > Details > TCP/IP > Renew), flush DNS (sudo dscacheutil -flushcache), or delete network preference files.
External Display Not DetectedmacOS
Check cable connections, go to System Settings > Displays > hold Option key to click "Detect Displays", try different cable/adapter, or reset SMC/NVRAM.
Bluetooth Devices Not ConnectingmacOS
Turn Bluetooth off and on, remove and re-pair the device, reset Bluetooth module (Shift+Option click Bluetooth icon > Debug > Reset), or delete /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist.
Time Machine Backup FailingmacOS
Verify backup disk has sufficient space, eject and reconnect the drive, run Disk Utility First Aid on the backup drive, or delete old backups to free space.
Kernel Panic (Mac Crashes)macOS
Disconnect all peripherals, boot into Safe Mode (hold Shift at startup), update macOS, reset NVRAM (Cmd+Option+P+R at boot), and check for incompatible software.
Microsoft Teams/Outlook Performance Issues on MacmacOS
Update to the latest version, clear the app cache (~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office), reduce number of Teams accounts, or reinstall the app.
AirDrop Not WorkingmacOS
Ensure both devices have WiFi and Bluetooth on, set AirDrop to "Everyone" temporarily, restart Finder (Option+click Finder icon > Relaunch), or sign out/in to iCloud.
Mac Won't Turn On or BootmacOS
Verify power connection, try a different cable, reset SMC (hold Shift+Control+Option+Power for 10 seconds), boot into Recovery Mode (Cmd+R), or run Disk Utility First Aid.
