Engineering-Led Network Infrastructure for Texas SMBs
Comprehensive network technology services that build reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for Texas businesses. Network design, structured cabling, enterprise Wi-Fi, fiber, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust Network Access — built for security and uptime.
Network technology · Five steps out of the closet
From the spaghetti closet to a network you see
Most office networks grow one cable at a time until nobody knows what plugs into what. Here's how we turn that closet into a network you can see and manage. Tap a lens to dive in, or let it play.
Where most networks start
Every office has this closet. Nobody wants to open it.
Years of quick fixes leave a knot of unlabeled patch cords, a switch nobody remembers buying and a cable that "goes somewhere." It works until it doesn't, and then every fix starts with guessing. Watch the knot come apart: that's the job, one cord at a time.
What LayerLogix does
- Map every cable, port and device in the closet as it stands today
- Re-patch with short, color-coded cords labeled on both ends
- Hand you a port map you can read without calling us
Step 1 · Structured cabling
Every run labeled, tested and written down
A structured run goes from a numbered port on the patch panel, up through the ceiling, to a matching jack at the desk. Ethernet allows 90 meters for that permanent link and 100 meters for the full channel with patch cords. Pick a run and watch the tester work.
What LayerLogix does
- Pull Cat6 or Cat6a from the patch panel to every jack
- Certify each run with a calibrated tester and fix what fails
- Label both ends and tie each jack to its switch port
Step 2 · The switching core
One core, clean uplinks, power on the same cable
Daisy-chained switches mean one bad hop knocks out everything behind it. We rebuild that into a star, where each access switch gets its own uplink to a core. The same switches send Power over Ethernet to phones, access points and cameras. Flip between the two.
What LayerLogix does
- Replace daisy chains and under-desk switches with a planned star
- Size PoE for phones, access points and cameras up front
- Document every uplink so a failure is quick to trace
Step 3 · Segmentation with VLANs
Guests, phones and cameras each get their own lane
On a flat network, the guest on your Wi-Fi sits one hop from the file server. VLANs split one set of switches into separate networks, and firewall rules decide what each one can reach. Pick a segment to see where its traffic goes, and where it's stopped.
What LayerLogix does
- Split staff, guest, voice and camera traffic into separate VLANs
- Write firewall rules for what each segment is allowed to reach
- Keep cameras and other smart devices off the internet unless needed
Step 4 · Wi-Fi designed for capacity
Coverage gets you bars. Capacity gets work done.
One router in the corner can show full bars and still crawl once the conference room fills up. We plan access points around the people and devices in each room, not just square footage, then check the result on site. Tap the floor plan to place access points.
What LayerLogix does
- Survey the floor plan, walls and seat counts before picking gear
- Mount access points where the people and devices actually are
- Verify coverage and roaming on site once the install is done
Step 5 · Monitoring
You see the failing cable before your team does
Once every port is labeled and every link is known, monitoring finally means something. We watch port status, errors and traffic, so a cord going bad shows up as a warning on a dashboard, not a helpdesk call from the conference room. Tap a port to see what it knows.
What LayerLogix does
- Monitor every switch port, uplink and access point
- Turn rising error counts into a ticket before anyone calls
- Keep the port map current as people and devices move

Our Process
Every app you run rides on Layer 1.
You can re-architect everything above the cable. The foundation, you pour once — and every layer above inherits its quality.
Applications & Cloud
SaaS, VoIP, video, security cameras
Security & Zero-Trust
Policies, segmentation, access control
Network & Switching
Routers, switches, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN
Physical Layer — Structured Cabling
L1The foundation everything above rides on
Get Layer 1 wrong and every layer above inherits the flaw. We engineer and certify the foundation to TIA-568 — so the rest of your stack has something solid to stand on.
