Can coworking members see each other's devices on our Wi-Fi?▼
On many flat networks, yes. If everyone joins the same Wi-Fi without client isolation, devices can discover each other, including laptops with file sharing turned on, printers and storage devices. We fix that with client isolation on shared Wi-Fi and private segments or private pre-shared keys for member companies, so each company can see its own devices and the shared printers without seeing anyone else's. Guests get a separate network that reaches only the internet.
What happens if a member does something illegal on our network?▼
Your public IP address may show up in someone else's complaint, so you want logs and clear terms. We configure firewall logging that ties activity to member segments, help you add acceptable use language to member agreements with your attorney and set up the ability to isolate a member's network quickly. If you receive a legal notice or subpoena, your counsel decides how to respond, and we help pull the relevant records from your systems.
Can door access sync with Nexudus or OfficeRnD?▼
Usually, yes. Most member platforms integrate with popular access control systems like Kisi and several others, so a new membership creates credentials and a cancellation or suspension removes them. We set up and test that integration, map membership plans to door schedules and handle exceptions like 24-hour access tiers or meeting-room-only guests. Hardware installation and lock configuration stay with your access control installer, and we coordinate with them so nothing falls between the two of us.
How do we stop sensitive documents piling up at the printer?▼
Use secure print release. Members send jobs to a shared queue, and nothing prints until they badge in or enter a code at the printer. Unreleased jobs get deleted after a set time. That keeps a law firm's contract from sitting in the tray for the next person to pick up. We also make sure printers sit on their own network segment and clear their stored job history on a schedule.
Do we need to worry about PCI DSS?▼
If you take card payments for memberships, day passes or meeting rooms, yes. Most coworking spaces use their member platform's payment integration, which keeps card data with the processor and narrows your scope. You still complete an annual self-assessment, and front desk devices that take cards in person need care. We help you keep card data out of your own systems, separate any payment terminals on the network and answer the questionnaire accurately.
We're opening a second location. Can you replicate the setup?▼
Yes, and that's where a standard design pays off. We document the network, Wi-Fi, access control integration, print and meeting room standards from your first site, then deploy the same design at the next one with adjustments for the floor plan. Both sites get monitored from one place, and members can roam between locations if your platform supports it. Hands-on installation happens locally near our offices or through a vetted local technician directed by our engineer.
Do you provide Coworking Spaces IT Services in Houston and nearby areas?▼
Yes. LayerLogix is based in the Greater Houston area and delivers coworking spaces IT services to businesses across Houston and the surrounding communities, including The Woodlands, Spring, Katy, Sugar Land, Conroe, Cypress, and Pearland. For most Houston-area clients we can be on-site the same day when something needs hands-on attention, and our help desk is available during business hours, with after-hours emergency support. Call 713-571-2390 to check coverage for your specific address.
What does Coworking Spaces IT Services cost for a Houston business?▼
Pricing depends on your size and what you need, so we do not publish a one-size-fits-all number — but Houston businesses generally pay a flat, predictable monthly fee rather than surprise hourly bills. We start with a free, no-obligation assessment of your current setup, then give you a clear quote in plain English with no hidden costs. That way you know exactly what you are getting and what it costs before you commit.
