Do the FCC's CPNI rules apply to our broadband service?▼
The FCC's CPNI rules in 47 CFR 64.2001 and following apply to telecommunications carriers and interconnected VoIP providers. Broadband-specific privacy rules adopted in 2016 were overturned by Congress in 2017, so broadband internet service alone generally isn't covered by those CPNI rules. If you also sell voice or interconnected VoIP, CPNI rules apply to that service. State privacy laws may still reach subscriber data. Your regulatory counsel should confirm what applies, and we build controls that fit either way.
Does CALEA apply to us?▼
The FCC extended CALEA obligations to facilities-based broadband internet access providers and interconnected VoIP providers, which covers many independent ISPs. That generally means being able to support lawful intercept requests and maintaining a system security and integrity plan. Many ISPs use a trusted third party to handle intercept capability. Your counsel should confirm your obligations. We can help secure the systems and procedures involved and make sure the people handling requests are properly controlled.
How do we keep our management interfaces off the internet?▼
Put them on a dedicated management network reachable only through a VPN or jump host that requires MFA. Then block management ports from subscriber and public-facing interfaces on every router, radio, OLT and switch, and verify with an external scan. Many ISP compromises start with a web or SSH interface left exposed with a known vulnerability. We help design the setup with your network engineers, who make the changes on the gear, and we check regularly that nothing has drifted back.
What do grant programs want for cybersecurity?▼
NTIA's BEAD program, for example, asks prospective subgrantees to have a cybersecurity risk management plan and a supply chain risk management plan, with references to recognized frameworks. State broadband offices may add their own requirements. We help you write plans that reflect what you actually do, map them to frameworks like the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and keep evidence of operation. We avoid boilerplate plans that promise controls you don't run, because those become problems during monitoring.
Our support team shares one billing login. Is that a big deal?▼
It is. A shared login can't use MFA properly, hides who changed an account and has to be reset for everyone when one person leaves. If it's phished, the attacker has the same access as your whole support team. Named accounts with MFA and roles are easy to set up in modern billing platforms. They also let you prove who made a change when a customer disputes a charge or an account takeover is reported.
Do you configure our routers and radios?▼
No. Your network engineers own configuration of core routers, radios, OLTs and switches, and any changes on that gear stay with them. We focus on the corporate environment and the access layer around the network: who can reach management interfaces, how they authenticate, how field devices and credentials are protected and how changes are logged. If you want an outside review of network access, we'll do it alongside your engineers rather than around them.

What does Internet Service Providers IT Services cost for a Houston business?▼
Pricing depends on your size and what you need, so we do not publish a one-size-fits-all number — but Houston businesses generally pay a flat, predictable monthly fee rather than surprise hourly bills. We start with a free, no-obligation assessment of your current setup, then give you a clear quote in plain English with no hidden costs. That way you know exactly what you are getting and what it costs before you commit.
