VINs assigned once, MSOs locked up, and dealer orders built right.

Trailer & RV Manufacturing IT Services

A trailer or RV plant can't ship a unit without a VIN, a certification label and a manufacturer's statement of origin, and every one of those comes off a computer.

At a glance

The same systems hold build sheets, option codes, dealer orders, warranty claims and the records NHTSA expects if a defect turns into a recall.

We run and secure that IT: locked-down VIN and MSO printing, protected ERP and engineering data, dealer portals with proper logins, separated networks for weld and paint stations, and backups that bring the plant back after a bad day.

We work with utility, cargo, livestock, equipment and recreational trailer builders and RV makers across Texas and nationwide.

IT that keeps VINs straight, MSOs under lock, units rolling out.

Title documents, build records, dealer orders and plant networks secured for companies that build trailers and RVs.

Trailer and RV makers

From frame jig to dealer lot

Every unit leaves your plant with paperwork that follows it for decades. The VIN ties it to a build sheet, the MSO lets a dealer title it, and your records answer for it if NHTSA ever asks about a defect. Production speed matters, but the paper trail is what keeps the business legal.

01 · The pressure

No VIN, no MSO, no shipment

Dealer orders arrive with axle ratings, colors and options, and your ERP turns them into build sheets and material pulls. Each unit gets a VIN, a certification label and an MSO printed on security paper. Warranty claims and parts orders come back from dealers all year. If the ERP or the MSO printer is down on a Friday, finished units sit in the yard instead of heading to dealers before the weekend.

  • Dealer orders turned into build sheets
  • VINs, labels and MSOs printed per unit
  • Warranty claims arriving all year

02 · How it breaks

A blank MSO and a shared office login

Title fraud starts with weak controls. If anyone in the office can print an MSO from a shared login, a stolen or duplicate document can title a unit that doesn't exist or was never paid for. Dealer portal accounts get passed around between salespeople. Seasonal temps share a login on the floor PC. And a phishing email to purchasing can redirect a steel or axle supplier's payment to a criminal's account.

  • MSOs printable from a shared login
  • Dealer portal accounts passed around
  • Supplier payments redirected by email

03 · What we change

Named access and a logged print room

We restrict VIN assignment and MSO printing to named, MFA-protected users, log every print and keep security paper in a controlled workflow. Dealers get individual portal logins that you can disable when a salesperson leaves. Floor stations for weld, paint and final inspection move to their own network, with temp workers on named or kiosk accounts. Any change to supplier banking requires a call-back to a known number.

  • Logged, restricted MSO printing
  • Individual dealer portal logins
  • Separate network for floor stations

04 · The after

A paper trail that answers for every unit

When a dealer questions a title document, you can show who printed it and when. If a defect turns up, your build records tie VINs to parts and suppliers quickly enough to scope a recall instead of guessing. Season peaks bring in temps without exposing the ERP. And when a floorplan lender or insurer asks how you protect title documents, you have an answer on paper.

  • Print history for every title document
  • VIN-to-part records ready for recall scoping
  • Answers ready for lenders and insurers

What We Offer

Comprehensive solutions tailored for Houston-area businesses

VIN and MSO Document Controls

Manufacturer's statements of origin are as good as cash to a fraudster. We limit VIN assignment and MSO printing to named users with MFA, log each print with the VIN and user, and set up a void-and-reprint workflow so a spoiled form never disappears without a record.

Recall and Defect Records Protection

If a defect leads to a recall, NHTSA expects you to identify affected units and file reports. That depends on build records tying VINs to components and suppliers. We back up the ERP and quality data, protect it from tampering and make sure you can pull a VIN range quickly when it counts.

Dealer Portal and Order Security

Dealers order units, file warranty claims and check build status through your portal or by email. We give each dealer user a named login with MFA, help you disable accounts when dealer staff change, and filter the spoofed order emails that try to redirect units or payments.

ERP and Engineering Support

Your ERP holds BOMs, option rules and inventory, while engineering keeps frame and floor plan models in SolidWorks or AutoCAD. We keep those servers patched, backed up and fast enough for daily use, and coordinate upgrades with your ERP vendor so a new release doesn't stop production.

Plant Floor and Seasonal Staff Access

Build season brings temps who need to clock in, read work instructions and log inspections. We put floor stations on their own network, use named or kiosk accounts instead of shared passwords, and keep welders, CNC tables and paint booth controls separated. Machine-side changes go through the OEM.

Supplier Payment Fraud Defense

Steel, axles, tires and lighting suppliers invoice you constantly, which makes purchasing a target. We protect accounting and email with MFA, flag lookalike sender domains and set up a call-back rule for any banking change, so a forged remittance letter never turns into a wire.

Title Documents You Can Account For

Every MSO has a printer, a user and a VIN behind it. That record protects you when a dealer, lender or state titling office questions a document, and it makes internal fraud much harder to pull off unnoticed.

Recalls Scoped in Days, Not Weeks

Protected, searchable build records let you narrow a recall to the units that actually need attention. That saves money on unnecessary repairs and gives your safety team solid data to work from when reporting to regulators.

Busy Season Without Security Shortcuts

Temps, overtime and rush orders are when shared logins and sticky notes creep in. A floor setup built for seasonal staff keeps the ERP protected while production hits its numbers, so security doesn't slip when the plant gets busy.

Units Keep Shipping

Backups, monitoring and a separated plant network mean an office infection doesn't stop the line or the MSO printer. Units keep leaving for dealers while we clean up the business side, and the yard doesn't fill up with finished trailers.

Our Process

1
Walk the plant and office to trace how dealer orders become build sheets, VINs, certification labels and MSOs, and who touches each step.
2
Lock VIN assignment and MSO printing to named users with MFA, add print logging and set a void-and-reprint procedure with your title clerk.
3
Back up ERP, quality and engineering data off-site, then test a restore and a VIN-range lookup to confirm recall data is usable.
4
Separate floor stations, welders, CNC tables and paint controls from the office network, coordinating machine-side changes with each OEM.
5
Move dealers and seasonal staff to named accounts, and add MFA and a call-back rule for supplier banking changes in accounting.
6
Monitor, patch and review accounts every quarter and before each build season, updating dealer and temp access as people come and go.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would anyone steal an MSO?▼
A manufacturer's statement of origin is what a dealer or buyer uses to get a first title. With a genuine-looking MSO, a criminal can title a stolen unit, a unit that was never paid for, or one that doesn't exist, and then borrow against it or sell it. Floorplan lenders and state titling offices rely on those documents being real. Restricting who can print them, logging every print with the VIN and user, and handling spoiled forms with a written void process makes your documents much harder to abuse and gives you evidence if one turns up somewhere it shouldn't.
What does NHTSA expect from our records if there's a recall?▼
Trailer and RV manufacturers fall under NHTSA's rules for VINs, certification labels and defect and noncompliance reporting. When a safety defect is found, you'll need to identify which units are affected, report to NHTSA and notify owners. That depends on build records connecting VINs to components, suppliers and build dates. Your safety team and counsel own the reporting decisions and deadlines. Our job is to make sure the ERP and quality data behind those decisions is backed up, protected from tampering and searchable, so you can scope the affected population accurately and quickly.
Our dealers share one portal login per dealership. Is that okay?▼
It's convenient, but it means you can't tell which person placed an order, changed a spec or filed a warranty claim, and you can't cut off a salesperson who left on bad terms without disrupting the whole store. We set up individual logins with MFA, usually managed by a dealer principal who can add and remove their own people. That gives you an audit trail for disputed orders and claims, and it shuts the door on former employees who still know the shared password.
How do we handle seasonal temps on the production floor?▼
Temps need to clock in, read work instructions and record inspections, but they shouldn't reach accounting, engineering or MSO printing. We put floor stations on a separate network with access only to the time clock, work instruction viewer and quality forms they use. Each temp gets a named account or a locked-down kiosk login rather than a password taped to the monitor. When the season ends, a single list shows exactly which accounts to disable, so nothing lingers into next year.
Can you secure our robotic welders and CNC plasma tables?▼
We secure the network around them and the IT systems they talk to. That means putting machines on their own segment, limiting which computers can send them programs, controlling vendor remote access and watching traffic at the edge. We don't reprogram robot controllers, change machine parameters or install software inside the equipment. Those changes belong with the OEM or your integrator, who know the safety and warranty implications. We coordinate with them so a firewall rule or network change is planned around production instead of discovered during it.
Do you support plants outside your local area?▼
Yes. Many trailer and RV plants sit in small towns, and most of what they need, from account management and backups to monitoring, patching and help desk support, is handled remotely by our U.S.-based engineers. When something needs hands on site, like cabling a new production building or replacing a firewall, we do it ourselves near our offices or direct a vetted local technician. Our engineers work business hours with after-hours emergency response for active incidents.
