At a glance

Your business runs on a platform like Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce or WooCommerce, dozens of connected apps, Klaviyo for email and SMS, a help desk, a 3PL or ShipStation, NetSuite or QuickBooks, and ad accounts that hold years of audience data.

We secure the accounts and integrations behind all of it: MFA and least privilege for staff and agencies, app permission reviews, checkout script monitoring, domain and DNS protection and managed devices for a team that often works remotely.

We support ecommerce brands in Texas and nationwide, from founder-led stores to multi-channel operations.

IT that keeps carts converting, checkouts clean, ad accounts yours.

Store admin, checkout, apps, ad accounts and domains secured for brands that sell online first.

Ecommerce brands

Your storefront is a pile of logins

An ecommerce brand looks like one website, but it's really a store platform plus dozens of apps, agencies, ad accounts, marketplaces, a 3PL and a remote team, all connected by API keys and admin logins. Attackers don't need to break the platform. They just need one of those logins, especially in the weeks before a big sale.

01 · The pressure

Black Friday traffic and one admin login

In peak season your store handles a flood of orders while Klaviyo sends campaigns, ads spend heavily on Meta and Google, and the 3PL pulls orders through an integration. Support works refunds and order changes in Gorgias or Zendesk. Finance reconciles payouts in NetSuite or QuickBooks. If the store admin is compromised, the checkout breaks, the ad account gets locked or the domain stops resolving, that peak week becomes a loss you can't make up later.

  • Peak sales concentrated in a few weeks
  • Ads and email driving most of the traffic
  • 3PL pulling orders through an API integration

02 · How it breaks

A hijacked ad account and a skimmer on checkout

A marketing contractor's personal Facebook gets phished, and the attacker takes over your Business Manager, running scam ads on your card. An old agency still has store admin access. A third-party app with broad permissions gets compromised and injects a script that skims card details on a custom checkout page. Support agents get socially engineered into changing a shipping address or issuing a refund. And the domain registrar account sits on a founder's personal email with no MFA.

  • Ad accounts taken over through a contractor
  • Old agencies and apps with broad admin access
  • Registrar accounts on personal email, no MFA

03 · What we change

Least privilege everywhere, scripts under watch

We audit every staff, agency and app permission on the store, then cut each to the minimum it needs, with MFA required for everyone. Ad accounts get business-owned admins, backup admins and MFA. The registrar and DNS move to a company-owned account with MFA and registrar lock. We review and monitor scripts on payment pages, guided by PCI DSS 4.0 and your checkout setup. Support gets verification rules for address and refund changes, and team laptops get managed protection.

  • Every app and agency cut to minimum access
  • Registrar lock and company-owned DNS accounts
  • Script monitoring on payment pages

04 · The after

Sell through peak without holding your breath

Peak season arrives with an access list you trust, ad accounts that can't be grabbed through one contractor's Facebook and a checkout you know is clean. Agencies come and go without leaving admin access behind. Support handles risky requests the same way every time. And when your payment processor, a wholesale partner or a would-be acquirer asks how you protect customer and payment data, you can show them.

  • A trusted access list going into peak season
  • Agencies offboarded without leftover access
  • Clear answers for processors and acquirers

What We Offer

Comprehensive solutions tailored for Houston-area businesses

Store Platform Access Review

We audit staff accounts, collaborator and agency access, and app permissions on Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce or WooCommerce. Each gets cut to the least access it needs, MFA becomes mandatory, and we set a schedule to review again before peak season and whenever an agency or contractor relationship ends.

Checkout and Payment Page Protection

PCI DSS 4.0 added requirements for managing and monitoring scripts on payment pages, and how they apply depends on your checkout and SAQ type. We inventory scripts on checkout and payment pages, remove what isn't needed, set up change monitoring and help you complete your processor's self-assessment accurately.

Ad and Social Account Security

Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, TikTok and Amazon Seller Central accounts hold your audiences and spending power. We make sure the business owns them, require MFA for every admin, add backup admins, remove former contractors and agencies and document recovery steps so a takeover doesn't mean weeks of support tickets.

Domain, DNS and Email Protection

Your domain is your storefront. We move registrar and DNS accounts to company-owned logins with MFA and registrar lock, publish SPF, DKIM and DMARC so customers can't be phished in your name, and monitor for lookalike domains that pop up around launches and big sales.

App and Integration Governance

Store apps, Klaviyo, the help desk, ShipStation or your 3PL, and NetSuite all connect with API keys and tokens. We inventory them, remove unused apps, rotate credentials when staff or agencies leave and review new apps before install, so a forgotten integration doesn't become the way into your customer data.

Remote Team Device Management

Ecommerce teams are often remote, with contractors in the mix. We manage company laptops with endpoint protection, encryption and updates, use app protection for contractors' own devices and set up Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 with MFA, so a lost laptop or departing contractor doesn't expose the store or customer data.

Why Choose LayerLogix?

Revenue Accounts Stay Under Control

Least-privilege access, MFA and business-owned admin roles protect the store, ad accounts and domain that generate revenue. A phished contractor no longer means losing your Business Manager or your storefront during the weeks that matter most.

Cleaner Checkout, Fewer Chargebacks

Script monitoring on payment pages and tighter app permissions reduce the risk of card skimming and the chargebacks, processor scrutiny and customer complaints that follow a skimming incident. Shoppers keep trusting your checkout with their card details.

Peak Season Readiness

A pre-peak access review, verified admin and recovery paths, and support team verification rules mean you go into your biggest sales period knowing who can touch what, and with a plan if something does go wrong.

Diligence-Ready Brand

Wholesale partners, payment processors and potential acquirers increasingly ask how you protect customer data and accounts. Documented controls make those conversations shorter and can support the value of the brand you've built when a deal is on the table.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our store is on Shopify. Isn't security their job?▼
Partly. Shopify and similar platforms secure their infrastructure and hosted checkout, which takes a lot off your plate. But they can't stop you from giving an old agency full admin rights, installing an app with broad permissions, reusing a password without MFA or leaving your domain on a founder's personal email. Those are the gaps attackers use. We handle your side of that shared responsibility: accounts, apps, integrations, domains, ad accounts and the devices your team uses.
What does PCI DSS 4.0 mean for an ecommerce brand?▼
If you take card payments, your processor will ask for an annual self-assessment, and which questionnaire applies depends on your checkout. A fully hosted checkout keeps most card handling with the provider. Custom checkout pages or embedded payment forms bring more into scope, including PCI DSS 4.0 requirements about managing and monitoring scripts on payment pages. We help you understand where you fall, reduce scope where possible and answer the questionnaire accurately. Your processor decides what applies to your account.
How do ad accounts get hijacked, and how do we prevent it?▼
Usually through a person, not the platform. An admin or contractor's personal social account gets phished or their session cookie is stolen, and the attacker uses that access to take over your Business Manager or Ads account, add their own admins and run ads on your card. Prevention means the business owns the accounts, every admin uses MFA, there are at least two trusted backup admins, contractors get the narrowest role possible and access is removed the day a relationship ends.
How do we handle agencies and contractors safely?▼
Give each agency or contractor their own login, with the narrowest role that lets them do the job, and never share the owner account. Use collaborator or partner access features where the platform offers them, since you can revoke those cleanly. Keep a list of who has access to the store, ad accounts, Klaviyo and analytics, and review it before peak season and whenever an engagement ends. We maintain that list with you and handle the offboarding when a relationship wraps up.
What about customer support fraud?▼
Fraudsters contact support pretending to be customers, asking to change a shipping address after the order, redirect a package or issue a refund to a different card. Others take over customer accounts with reused passwords. We help you write verification rules for those requests, configure your help desk so agents see account change history, add MFA for staff and work with your platform on protections for customer logins. Support agents with a clear script make far fewer costly exceptions.
Do privacy laws apply to our store?▼
Probably some. Marketing email falls under CAN-SPAM. SMS marketing falls under the TCPA and carrier rules, which is why consent records matter. State privacy laws such as California's CCPA apply once you meet their thresholds, and state breach laws apply to customer data you hold regardless of size. We're not lawyers, so your attorney decides what applies. We make sure your systems keep consent records, honor deletion requests where required and protect the customer data you store.
Do you provide Ecommerce Brands IT Services in Houston and nearby areas?▼
Yes. LayerLogix is based in the Greater Houston area and delivers ecommerce brands IT services to businesses across Houston and the surrounding communities, including The Woodlands, Spring, Katy, Sugar Land, Conroe, Cypress, and Pearland. For most Houston-area clients we can be on-site the same day when something needs hands-on attention, and our help desk is available during business hours, with after-hours emergency support. Call 713-571-2390 to check coverage for your specific address.
What does Ecommerce Brands IT Services cost for a Houston business?▼
Pricing depends on your size and what you need, so we do not publish a one-size-fits-all number — but Houston businesses generally pay a flat, predictable monthly fee rather than surprise hourly bills. We start with a free, no-obligation assessment of your current setup, then give you a clear quote in plain English with no hidden costs. That way you know exactly what you are getting and what it costs before you commit.
