Dispatch running, ELD data intact, and no one hauling under your MC number

Trucking Companies IT Services

For a motor carrier, the most expensive attack often isn’t ransomware; it’s someone using your identity, your load board login or your factoring account to steal freight or payments while your trucks keep rolling.

At a glance

Your operation depends on a TMS for dispatch and billing, telematics and ELDs that carry hours-of-service records under the FMCSA ELD rule, load boards, fuel cards, factoring portals and EDI links with shippers.

We run IT and security for asset-based carriers, owner-operator fleets and carriers with brokerage arms, in Texas and nationwide.

We lock down the accounts fraudsters target, keep dispatch and the TMS available, protect driver qualification and Clearinghouse records, and give your terminals and shop a network you can trust.

IT that keeps dispatch moving, your MC number yours, settlements on time.

TMS, telematics, load boards and factoring accounts secured for carriers whose identity is worth stealing.

Dispatch to delivery

Your carrier identity is a target

Trucking runs on trust between shippers, brokers, carriers and factoring companies, and most of that trust is verified by email, portals and authority numbers. Fraudsters have learned to borrow a legitimate carrier’s identity to steal loads and payments. Here’s how that plays out for carriers, and what we change to stop it.

01 · The pressure

Every load moves through a login

Dispatchers book freight on load boards and broker portals, assign it in the TMS, and track trucks through your telematics platform. Drivers log hours on ELDs and send documents from the cab. Billing pushes invoices and proof of delivery to brokers or your factoring company. Safety keeps driver qualification files and Clearinghouse queries. If the TMS goes down, dispatch runs on whiteboards and phone calls. If a load board or factoring login is stolen, freight and money can disappear while your trucks look fine on the map.

  • Load boards and broker portals feed dispatch
  • ELDs record hours of service from every cab
  • Factoring portals turn invoices into cash

02 · How it breaks

Stolen identity, double brokering, fake emails

A fraudster phishes a dispatcher’s load board login, books loads under your carrier identity and re-brokers them to an unknowing carrier, leaving you facing shipper claims and unpaid haulers. A lookalike domain emails your broker partners with new remittance details. Someone requests a change of your registration contact information. Drivers share telematics logins, and an old ELD vendor account still belongs to a manager who left. And the shop PC that runs diagnostics also opens personal email.

  • Load board login used to double broker
  • Lookalike domain redirects broker payments
  • Old telematics admin accounts never closed

03 · What we change

Lock the accounts that move freight

We put MFA on email, load boards, broker and shipper portals, the TMS, telematics admin and factoring accounts, and remove shared and stale logins. We protect your email domain against spoofing, register lookalike alerts, and set a call-back rule for any remittance or banking change. Dispatch and safety get named roles. We monitor and back up the TMS, segment terminal and shop networks, manage driver tablets, and help you watch your FMCSA registration details for unauthorized changes.

  • MFA on load boards, TMS and factoring
  • Domain spoofing protection and lookalike alerts
  • Watch on registration contact changes

04 · The after

Haul freight, not fraud claims

Your load board and broker accounts can’t be used by someone who only has a password. Brokers who get a strange remittance email from a lookalike domain know to call, because your onboarding packet tells them how you operate. ELD records and driver files sit in systems with clear ownership. The TMS comes back from a tested backup if a server fails. And when a shipper, broker or insurer asks how you protect against freight fraud, you have specific answers.

  • Passwords alone can’t book under your name
  • Brokers verify payment changes by phone
  • Clear answers for shippers and insurers

What We Offer

Comprehensive solutions tailored for Houston-area businesses

Freight Fraud and Identity Protection

Double brokering and carrier identity theft start with stolen logins and spoofed emails. We put MFA on load boards, broker portals and email, remove stale accounts, protect your domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, alert on lookalike domains and help you monitor for unauthorized changes to your FMCSA registration contact details.

TMS and Dispatch Availability

Your TMS runs dispatch, settlements and billing. We monitor the server or cloud connection, back up the database with versioned offsite copies, manage Windows and SQL layers where they’re ours, and coordinate with the software vendor on upgrades. A failure means a tested restore, not days of dispatch by spreadsheet and phone calls.

ELD and Telematics Account Security

ELDs and telematics platforms hold hours-of-service records, GPS history, driver behavior data and sometimes camera footage. We tighten admin roles, enforce MFA, give drivers individual logins, remove departed staff promptly and make sure records are retained in line with what the FMCSA ELD rule and your safety team require.

Factoring and Payment Change Controls

Factoring portals, fuel card programs and broker payment settings all control where your money goes. We secure those accounts with MFA, alert on banking changes where platforms allow, and help you put a documented call-back procedure in your carrier packet so brokers and shippers verify any remittance change before they pay.

Driver Records and Clearinghouse Data

Driver qualification files, MVRs, medical cards and Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse results are sensitive and regulated. We help you keep them in a records system with role-based access, encryption and MFA, limit who can download or print them, and set retention in line with your safety director’s requirements.

Terminal, Shop and Cab Devices

Terminals, yards and shops need reliable networks for dispatch, scanners, gate cameras and diagnostic laptops. We segment office, shop, cameras and guest Wi-Fi, manage driver tablets and phones with remote wipe, and keep diagnostic PCs isolated so a shop machine can’t become a path into dispatch or billing.

Your Authority Stays Yours

MFA on load boards and broker portals, plus monitoring for registration changes, makes it far harder for a fraudster to book freight under your name. You avoid the claims, cargo disputes and broker relationship damage that follow when someone impersonates your company.

Settlements That Reach Your Account

Domain protection and a call-back rule stop the lookalike email that redirects broker payments. Cash flow stays predictable, drivers get settled on time, and your billing team isn’t chasing money that went to a fraudster’s account.

Dispatch Through Server Trouble

Monitored, backed-up TMS infrastructure means a failed server or ransomware attempt becomes a recovery task rather than a shutdown. Trucks keep getting assigned, and billing picks up where it left off without rebuilding loads from memory.

Better Answers for Brokers and Insurers

Brokers increasingly vet carriers for fraud controls, and insurers ask about cybersecurity at renewal. Documented MFA, domain protection, backups and access controls let you answer quickly and honestly, which can help you win loads and keep coverage.

Our Process

1
List every account that books, tracks or pays freight: load boards, broker portals, TMS, telematics, ELD admin, fuel cards, factoring and email.
2
Enable MFA on those accounts, remove shared and stale logins, and give dispatch, safety and billing staff named roles.
3
Lock down your email domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, set lookalike domain alerts and add a payment verification line to your carrier packet.
4
Back up and monitor the TMS, then run a restore test so dispatch knows exactly how recovery would work.
5
Segment terminal, shop, camera and guest networks, and enroll driver tablets and phones in device management with remote wipe.
6
Review quarterly: account access, registration details, ELD admin roles, driver file permissions, backup tests and any fraud attempts seen.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is double brokering, and how does IT help stop it?▼
Double brokering happens when a party that accepted a load re-brokers it to another carrier without authorization, often using a stolen or impersonated carrier identity. The real hauler may never get paid, and the shipper may pursue the carrier whose name was used. Much of it starts with compromised load board or email accounts, or lookalike domains. We reduce your exposure with MFA on those accounts, domain spoofing protection, lookalike alerts and monitoring for changes to your registration contact details.
Does the FMCSA ELD rule create IT obligations for us?▼
The ELD rule requires covered drivers to record hours of service on a registered ELD and sets requirements for data transfer to enforcement, malfunction handling and supporting documents. Your ELD provider handles device registration and the technical specification. Your part is running it properly: correct driver accounts, admin roles that match job duties, retention of records and supporting documents, and access controls on who can edit logs. We help secure the accounts and records around the ELD; your safety director owns compliance decisions.
Someone changed our contact information with FMCSA. What should we do?▼
Treat it as an identity theft attempt. Contact FMCSA through its official channels right away to report the unauthorized change and restore your details, and notify the brokers and load boards you work with. Change passwords and enable MFA on your FMCSA portal account, email and load boards, and check your email for forwarding rules or unknown sign-ins. We help with the technical investigation and hardening. Questions about liability for loads booked under your name belong with your counsel and insurer.
Can you support our TMS and telematics platforms?▼
Yes, around the applications. We manage the server or cloud connection for your TMS, workstations, user accounts, network and backups, and coordinate with the vendor for issues inside the software. For telematics and ELD platforms, which are cloud services, we focus on admin roles, MFA, driver accounts, integrations with the TMS and the devices in the cab. When an integration breaks between TMS and telematics, we work it with both vendors so dispatch isn’t stuck relaying messages.
How do we protect driver files and Clearinghouse results?▼
Driver qualification files, MVRs, DOT medical cards and Clearinghouse query results should live in a records system or encrypted repository with role-based access, not in shared drives or email attachments. We help you consolidate them, limit access to safety and HR staff who need it, enable MFA, log downloads and set retention that matches what your safety director says the regulations require. When a driver leaves, their file stays protected for the retention period without being widely accessible.
We also run a brokerage. Does that change anything?▼
It adds another side to the fraud problem. As a broker, you’re also vetting carriers, and fraudsters will try to pose as legitimate carriers to win your loads. We help secure your brokerage accounts the same way, support your carrier onboarding and monitoring tools with proper access controls, and make sure carrier packets, proof of insurance and payment details are stored securely. Verification decisions about which carriers to use remain with your team, backed by better tools and cleaner data.
